<description>Hi, this is Carlos from Colombia, which is a country well known by the quality of their coffee and plantains.
I just read this note and I want to say that you could prepare the plantain in many ways.First, we have to remember that a plantain is very different to a banana. You could cook it, the plantain, even if it is green or yellow. The green one is more for a salty use and the yellow one for a sweet use. Well, if you want to fried them, you don&#039;t need add eggs, I have never tried that way, just slice them and fry them maybe 3 or 5 minutes.
With the green one, you have to put them out for a moment, squash them, and then fry again around 2 minutes more in order to cook them a little more.
Another delicious way to prepare it is in the oven, cut vertically just the enough to put inside pieces of cheese and something sweet like honey, jam or &quot;bocadillo&quot; (a colombian sweet). It takes around 30 minutes I think.
Bye.
