Once I bought a bag of dried peas instead of lentils. I love lentil soup, and I was very happy that I finally found green lentils. You can imagine my disappointment when I realized the mistake.

After looking for dry split pea recipes, I decided to make the soup with peas instead of lentils. The soup tasted good and I kept the recipe.

Salçalı Pilav
This noon I tried to cook the rice with tomato paste. I like pasta with tomato, and I was planning to make one. When everything was ready, the butter was sauteed and the tomatoe paste was added, I changed my mind and instead of pasta, I prepared pilaf. It turned out good.

I saw many different posts for pilaf. Most of them looks interesting and mouth watering, yet I was stuck to my usual pilaf cooking method. I needed that change.

Stuffed grape leaves are really delicious, yet one of the most tedious to prepare dishes in the Mediterranean cuisine. In Turkey, this dish is mostly prepared for gatherings.

Stuffed grape leaves can be prepared vegetarian or with ground meat. If you want to prepare it with ground meat, hold half of the oil.
