Muhammara – Acuka


Acuka, or Muhammara in Arabic, is a pepper dip from the Levant.

I ate Acuka for the first time in one of the Turkish gatherings over 4 years ago, and I prepare it frequently, whenever I can get my hands on some Turkish pepper paste, since.

Preparation time: 5 minutes. Serves about 8 people.


  • 7 tbsp pepper paste
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 cups of walnut, chopped
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp blackpepper
  1. Chop or press the garlic cloves.
  2. Crumble the bread slices.
  3. Mix all of the ingredients well.
