Cold Stone Creamery – Tim Hortons

I just finished my Coffee Lovers Only signature ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery. It had been a while since I last ate my favorite ice cream. It was one of the tastes I missed since I moved out of the States.

When I was ordering and getting permission to shoot a video about their signature ice cream preparation (the one in my files is almost 4 years old), I was told that the Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery signed a co-brand agreement, and the location in Nanaimo opened about 4 weeks ago. Later on I found out that it had been almost a year since the first seven Coldstone Creamery – Tim Hortons co-branded store opened in Canada, but it recently came to the west coast.

I would like to thank the store supervisors and the crew for their help in taping one of the preparations. I was hungry and tired, so I shot the video and left the store before taking some more pictures asking their names.

(The mixing needs some more practice but the taste and the crunchiness was as I remembered. The upcoming video will be for Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip.)

Coffee flavored granola bars

Did you ever try to add your favorite food or drink into every possible meal? I tried this with coffee, especially for the desserts and the snacks I baked.

Caribou Coffee Granola Bars

Like many other people, who live in America, coffee has an important place in my daily life. I don’t think I am addicted to caffeine, I just like the smell and the taste of the coffee. That’s why I like using it as a flavor in my cookies. I especially like using Turkish coffee in my brownies, or cookies.

When I was shopping several weeks ago, I tried a new Caribou Coffee brand granola bar with coffee flavor from a granny like lady. (The ad companies know how to work. When a person sees a granny, s/he does not think twice to taste the thing she is selling most of the time. Don’t you think so?).

Of course I bought a box of it, and you can imagine how happy I was that day. In the box there were vanilla-latte and chocolate-mocha flavor bars.

I really liked these bars, especially the chocolate-mocha flavor.

4th of July in the Downtown

4th of July in the downtown
This year I attended the “family barbecue” event in the downtown of the city I live in. It was part of the 4th of July celebration.

According to our department secretary, this barbecue event usually starts 4-5 days prior to 4th of July, and used to called as “rib burn off”.

They closed a small section of a street for the event, and the food carts were located at one side of that street.

Other than barbecue, there were also some non-meat foods.

An Ice Cream Day in Cold Stone Creamery

An Ice Cream Day in Cold Stone CreameryFinally I tried the Cold Stone Creamery! It was a popular topic in my working place for some time now. Even though I like ice cream, I just did not have the time.
One of our group mates is also an ice cream lover. She is about to return her home country, and she asked whether we knew of any special ice cream store that we can visit before she left. The final decision to visit Cold Stone Creamery was reached in only 5 minutes, and the directions were ready in the next two.
